Founder & Pet Carer

I began working with animals at the age of 10 when I helped on farms all over England and Wales. As I grew up, I knew I wanted to work with animals. After completing work experience at a vet practice and then at a dog grooming parlour, I got a job at the parlour. I worked at the parlour for 5 years and my hands-on experience extends to handling dogs with separation anxiety, aggression, and guiding puppies through their introductory sessions.

Throughout my life I have cared for a wide range of animals, including cats who lived to an impressive 22 years, dogs, guinea pigs who happily bonded with the family cat, as well as hamsters, fish, and various farm animals. My lifelong love of animals inspired me to start Hannah’s Pet Care Services, where we provide professional, compassionate care for pets across Devon and Somerset. Introducing Alison…

Pet carer

Due to high demand and our shared passion for animals, Alison joined the team in 2025. She currently offers drop-ins, dog walks, and daytime pet sits.

Alison is fully insured under the business, DBS checked, and canine first aid trained. She also has her vehicle insured for emergency vet trips (hopefully never needed!) and is equipped with a pet first aid kit, cat carrier for cats and small animals, and dog seatbelts for safety.

Please note: Transport for dog walks and outings will still be done exclusively by me, using the van and crates.

Alison is an animal lover and already knows how the business works, which makes having her on board an extra bonus. Her help means we can offer more availability during busy periods while maintaining the same high level of care and attention for all pets.

We own a sweet little cat called Brownie, who is Hannah’s best friend, but is definitely the boss of the house!

We adopted her from Cats Protection, and when she first came home she was very timid and barely made a sound. But, with patience and love, she’s grown into a confident little character who now happily bosses us around! Here she is exploring the garden in the sunshine!
